Peter Duffey is the President of the Canadian Air Traffic Control Association (CATCA), the union representing Canada’s approximately 2000 air traffic controllers.

Peter was first licensed in the North Bay Terminal Control Unit in 1991.  He relocated to Toronto ACC in 1993 where he first became involved in CATCA as a Branch Steward. Through the years, Peter held various posts in the Toronto ACC Branch, eventually becoming Chairman in 2008.  In 2009, Peter was elected to a full time position in CATCA as the Regional Vice President for Central Region.  In May of 2014, Peter became the President of CATCA.

Peter has served on 4 collective bargaining committees during CATCA /NAV Canada negotiations and one bargaining committee during CATCA / SERCO Goose Bay negotiations.

Peter has been married to Patty Duffey, a controller in Waterloo Tower, for 22 years.
